  • Will West

    Will is the Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of SAVI iQ. He has been involved in the world of Home Automation for decades. He and Eric Smith have created 5 industry-leading companies together, and they were both recent recipients of the CEDIA Lifetime Achievement designation; an honor given to only a select few that have helped shape the industry. Will and Eric created Control4 and along with Mark Morgan, Glen Mella, and many others, grew the Company to become the dominant worldwide leader in home automation. They successfully took the Company public in 2013. Will has raised hundreds of millions of dollars in venture capital, private equity, and the public markets. In 1998, he co-founded iBAHN (then called STSN), which became the worldwide leader in broadband services for business travelers serving millions of customers in thousands of hotels. Prior to founding iBAHN, Will was CEO and co-founder of PHAST Corporation, a leading manufacturer of high-end home automation systems. Will also held prior roles at Proctor and Gamble, the FSLIC, and Wasatch Advisors. He holds a degree in Finance from the University of Utah, and an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. He also holds the CFA designation.

  • John Dorsey

    John is the President and Co-Founder of SAVI iQ. A true entrepreneur and technical whiz-kid, John’s visionary leadership helped Diem Digital become one of the top residential and commercial audio, video, automation, and low voltage systems integrators in Texas. John started Diem Computer Company in 1990 and grew it to over $30 million in revenue. Throughout his professional career, his aptitude for isolating solutions won him the favor of some of the largest Fortune 1000 companies, where he helped to automate and optimize their business operations. As a software integrator and document management specialist, John has been recognized as the #1 reseller in the country year after year. John started SAVI Controls in 2010 with the mission to revolutionize commercial AV by creating a simplified system. Today, that dream is a reality as SAVI iQ transforms and reimagines how we think about audio-visual integration. John graduated from the University of North Texas and is a fervent believer in servant leadership. He has a passion for animals, and you will never find his dog, Londo, far from his side. Outside of the office, John enjoys spending time with his family – especially his three grandchildren.

  • Eric Smith

    Eric is Chief Technology Officer & Co-Founder of SAVI iQ. In this role he is responsible for product direction and architecture, leveraging his long and deep background in home automation to guide the products to be simple and comprehensive. Prior to SAVI iQ, Eric was Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer of Control4. Control4 is the first company to make whole-home automation a practical option for any residence. In 2013 Control4 went public on the Nasdaq under the symbol “CTRL.” Prior to Control4, he co-founded STSN (now iBahn), the worldwide leader in broadband services for business travelers. Eric developed the intellectual property that made it possible to simplify Internet protocols and offer fast, convenient broadband service to travelers staying in more than 500,000 hotel rooms in 300 cities around the world. Prior to STSN, Eric co-founded PHAST Corporation, which quickly became the leading control system in the residential control systems market. Eric is the father of 7 Children, and holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science from Brigham Young University.

  • Megan Tubbs

    Megan is Chief Operations Officer of SAVI iQ an a dynamic executive in the AV automation industry. With over 15 years of experience, Megan oversees operational functions and manages internal affairs.  Before stepping into her most recent role, Megan forged a formidable path in the tech world by helping to establish partnerships and launch new business ventures for Diem Digital, a large-scale AV integrator. Starting as an operations manager at Diem, Megan quickly transitioned to vice president of operations and then to vice president, giving her an unmatched ability to manage a successful team and systematically improve business operations. Outside of the office, Megan loves to spend time with her daughter, Cora, and husband, Steven. She also enjoys playing tennis, cheering for the Yankees, and getting a little too competitive at board games.

  • Glen Mella

    Glen is Chief Revenue Officer at SAVI iQ, responsible for the company’s global sales, business development, and strategic partnerships. He has 30+ years operational experience in product management, marketing communications, retail and digital channels, and global business development. Prior to SAVI, Glen was a co-founder, Board member, and former CEO of Cypher, a software startup that was acquired by Cirrus Logic. Glen also served as President and COO of Control4; a global leader of automation systems for homes and businesses. He served as SVP of marketing and sales for Triton PCS, where he led the marketing and sales efforts of over 700 professionals in 140 company-owned retail stores, and over 500 authorized reseller outlets. Before joining Triton, Glen served as CEO of Found, Inc., a software provider to the retail industry that was acquired by CRS Retail Systems. He also held marketing management positions at Novell, WordPerfect, and Frito-Lay/PepsiCo. Glen holds an MBA from Northwestern’s Kellogg School and a Bachelors degree from Brigham Young University.

  • Derek Wilson

    Derek is a technologist at heart and serves as the Chief Product Officer. Derek has 20 years of industry experience with a proven track record of leading high-performance teams, driving sales, and breaking free from the status quo of the AV world. Before SAVI iQ, Derek served as the president of Diem Digital, where he created departmental synergy and helped generate over $30 million in revenue. Derek’s marquee of clients large-scale AV systems include LG, Top Golf, Buffalo Wild Wings, Dave & Busters, and the Carolina Hurricanes.  Before Diem Digital, Derek was the vice president of business development, a sales and system designer, and a field technician himself. Derek was named one of the AV industry’s burgeoning superstars in Commercial Integrator’s “40 Influencers Under 40.” Derek believes AV should be fun, and a day spent without laughing is a day wasted.

    Derek lives in North Dallas with his wife, daughter, and golden retriever. He can usually be found enjoying live music, playing video games, or geeking out on the newest tech innovations.

  • Monica Narvaez

    Monica is an experienced labor and employment attorney with a background in both legal practice and human resources. She currently serves as Legal Counsel and Senior Vice President of Human Resources. Prior to SAVI iQ, she was Of Counsel at MKim Legal LLP, advising clients on workplace compliance, investigations, litigation, and strategic HR matters. Her career includes roles as an Assistant Attorney General in Ohio and in-house HR counsel, giving her a well-rounded perspective on employment law and workforce strategy. Monica holds a J.D. and a Certificate in Dispute Resolution from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law, an LL.M. in Commercial Law from the University of Edinburgh, an MBA from Schiller International University, and a B.S.B.A. in International Business and HR from The Ohio State University. She is a certified mediator in Texas and Ohio and holds the SHRM-SCP credential.

  • Mike Kimball

    Mike serves as SAVI iQ’s Chief Financial Officer. He has deep experience in finance, technology and business transactions. He started his career in public accounting and consulting with EY and Cap Gemini, where he was a director of High Technology in Silicon Valley. He worked with a variety of large Fortune 500 companies, IPO startups, and international companies such as: Google, Cisco, Apple, Samsung, and Verizon. Mike has extensive experience working in retail, with global teams and international companies. He has also been involved in various startups and non-profits. He currently sits on the board of three charities that are involved in social impact, education, and assistance. Mike holds Bachelor Degrees in Accounting and Chinese and Master Degrees in Accounting and Information Systems from the Brigham Young University. He loves his family and outdoor activities like running, biking, and skiing.
